Doug Rice founded Bridalicious® Boot Camp in Beverly Hills, Calif., in 2005 after six years of training brides-to-be exclusively. Bridalicious® Boot Camp seeks to help future brides look and feel their best on their big day through the utilization of its three components: Bridalicious® Boot Camp DVDs; live Bridalicious® Boot Camps in Beverly Hills, Calif., and Dallas; and the BridalBodyClub.com online wedding fitness destination.
In his boot camp workouts, Doug incorporates interval training along with signature boot camp exercises for maximum weight loss and fitness results. Additionally, Doug has designed a series of exercises to target the “bridal trifecta” – the arms, shoulders and back – which are usually on full display in a wedding gown.
Through his years of experience, Rice has learned how important a bride’s fitness goals at this monumental time in her life. There is little room for error. Brides bring the desire, determination and deadline; and Doug brings the results.
However, Doug does not just help brides lose weight and get in shape; he also counsels them through the stress of planning a wedding by offering an online bridal community where they can share their joy and struggles. The online destination site and the in-person boot camp classes allow brides to turn to each other for help – whether for encouragement to lose the last couple of pounds or recommendations on a photographer or caterer. He also engages brides with motivational tools, such as the bridal bouquet box and phrases like “size down that gown”. It is this community that really sets Bridalicious® products apart from other fitness regimens.
Doug Rice is a National Association of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) with more than a decade of personal training experience. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Texas. Doug has been featured in several magazines including Shape, Vanity Fair and Inside Weddings. He has also appeared on, NBC, CBS Sports, TheKnot.com, Self.com, Daily Candy, Extra, WeddingChannel.com, and to name a few.
